Defeat of TRS, victory of Congress certain in next elections: Uttam

Hyderabad: President of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, Capt. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the victory of Congress in the next elections is certain.

He was addressing a gathering organized in connection with Congress Padayatra at Narsampet in Warangal.

He further told that the four-year term of TRS is an ugly scar on the face of Telangana State. People are disappointed since smile from their faces has been taken away. No section of society is happy with TRS Govt.

TRS assumed power making false promises. He asked KCR about the fate of the promise he made for providing 12% reservation to Muslims. He said that with the large number of people attending Padyatra, it is clear that the reverse counting of TRS had already started. TRS Govt. is afraid of the popularity of Congress due to which, it suspended Congress members from Assembly and Council.

He pointed out that Mr. KCR appointed his family members on 5 important positions. He had promised to create jobs for the unemployed youths and also to give them Rs. 3000 per months as unemployment allowance but these promises were never fulfilled.

He told that Congress Praja Chaitanya Padayatra has covered 23 Assembly Constituencies so far and the response of the public is encouraging.

He mentioned that Mr. KCR had promised to give three acre of land to the Dalits but cheated them after assuming power. TRS Govt. did not spend even 50% of the budget allocated for SCs, STs and Minorities.

He also said that by granting private universities bill in the Assembly, Mr. KCR paved way for privatizing higher education.

Mr. K. Jana Reddy, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Mr. V. Hanumantha Rao, Mr. Revanth Reddy and other Congress leaders addressed the gathering.
