CPI-M Telangana State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram here on Sunday said his party would work with non-Congress and non-BJP parties for welfare of the poor and downtrodden sections.
Veerabhadram, who arrived here for the time after being elected as Telangana State secretary of the party, was given a rousing welcome by the party activists at Nayakangudem village under Kusumanchi mandal.
Addressing the party workers, Veerabhadram said the Congress had ruined the country by its corrupt and inefficient functioning and the Bharatiya Janata Party had vertically divided the people of the country in the name of religious fanaticism. Under the circumstances, it will be good for the country and the people if both the corrupt and non-performing Congress and communal BJP were defeated in the battle of ballot. He also stressed the need for formulating proper plans and programs for reconstruction of the backward Telangana region.
On the occasion, the party activists took out a two-wheeler rally in the town. District party secretary Potineni Sudarshan, executive committee member Ravi Kumar, Paleru division leader B. Lenin and others were present. (NSS)
