TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that both Congress and YSR Congress were robbing the state and called upon the people to reject both the parties in the present by-elections.
Addressing a road show here as part of his electioneering, he said Congress has been encouraging the corrupt, ever since it has come to power. He said with the family rule, during the first five years, the party has plundered the state exchequer. He has called upon the people to give a befitting reply to the plunderers.
Naidu has claimed that only TDP was capable of giving a stable and clean government. He has asked the people to vote for his party if they want corruption-free and efficient government.
Naidu has alleged that the Congress leaders were only interested in filling their pockets and were not bothered about people’s problems. Stating that prices were allowed to sky rocket, he said that to add to the woes of the people, the government had even hiked the price of petrol. He has warned that soon the cost of cooking gas and kerosene also would be hiked, as the government had no concern for people’s problems. He has assured the people that he would implement a plan to reduce the prices of essential commodities if his party was returned to power. He has reminded that it was his government that had taught thrift to women. He also assured that women would get a fairer deal in the TDP rule. He has promised cycles for girls going to schools, cooking gas for women, reservations for women in education and employment and unemployment allowance of Rs. 1000 to all jobless till they get jobs.
