Mumbai: Actress Deepika Padukone is keen on doing Hollywood films and wants to explore to work in the West.
“I am interested in doing Hollywood films. I am ready to explore… working in the West. I couldn’t do ‘Fast and Furious’.. I am glad I chose to do ‘Ram Leela’ promotions,” Deepika said.
She was speaking about her journey in Bollywood at the ongoing Jio MAMI festival here.
“If something interesting comes up I will take up. Here we are subject to shelf life… keeps arising… times have changed. There it is not like that,” the 29-year-old actress said.
The “Chennai Express” star is happy with the way her career has shaped up and insists success has not changed her as a person.
“I have not changed … my family would speak about it.
I do wash dishes at home…I did last last night. My parents …school friends are supportive and encouraging,” Deepika said.
“They have not stopped their lifestyle… they continue doing work they do know I am going to work. Father locked me if I change,” she said.
Her rumoured boy-friend Ranveer Singh in an audio visual message expressed happiness over the success Deepika has achieved in her career till now.
He even went on to suggest that Deepika must do films in the West.
