26- year- old Dr Bharti Dixit, a doctor of New Delhi Municipal Council, is the only female candidate among the top five who made it to the prestigious Civil Services Examination.
Bharti Dixit the only female candidate to get a place for herself in the top 5 all India ranks of UPSC Civil Services Exam 2013. An MBBS graduate from Lady Hardinge Medical College of Delhi, Bharti has cracked the exam in her first attempt itself.
Furthermore, one more female candidate who brought fame to the fairer sex is a daughter of a constable, who cracked the Indian Police Service.
Bharti while speaking to a newspaper said: “I give my credit to the almighty, my parents and family who supported me lot during my preparation.
I was confident that I would pass with a good rank, but I didn’t expect to top among all girls and be in the top 5. I knew that it was the dedication that matters.”
“Working as a doctor helped me to enhance my knowledge and I would read from government websites and newspapers and use them as study material,” Bharti said.
Dixit, who worked as a medical officer with NDMC’s Charak Palika hospital in Moti Bagh, hardly get times for her preparation. “I get only four to six hours for my preparations.
