Hyderabad, October 13: The cases of swine flu reported in the city since the last few days have come down, said Chest Hospital Superintendent S V Prasad on Monday during an interactive meeting organised by The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FAPCCI).
Principal Secretary L V Subrahmanyam, who also participated in the interaction said passengers travelling in buses and trains should be extremely careful as they are vulnerable to swine flu.
Besides, he also appealed to the corporates to arrange separate rooms for employees suffering from flu-like symptoms.
According to him, till now 2.6 lakh people were screened at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) and nearly 677 throat swab samples were collected.
“Forty two people have died because of swine flu throughout the State,” Subramanyam said.
He advised everyone to maintain personal hygiene to prevent the spread of swine flu.
