Hyderabad, December 20: A highly decomposed body of a middle-aged man, suspected of a Mumbai professor, was found in the Hussain Sagar lake here today, police said.
Police suspect that the body is of one professor Arun Kamble, (Marathi HoD at University of Mumbai), who went missing here on December 14, but could not confirm the same adding further investigations were on.
Ramgopalpet police said the body was spotted on the lake bank by some locals this afternoon who alerted them.
Investigations are under progress to identify the deceased and ascertain the cause of the death, a senior police officer told PTI.
“As of now we cannot confirm that it is the body of Arun Kamble. An autopsy would be conducted on the body tomorrow which could throw more light,” the police officer said adding they have also informed the professor’s son about the incident.
