Mr. P. Abdul Gani, MLA of Hindupur in a press statement applauded the Govt. of India for declaring wakf institution as public properties. He congratulated the efforts of Muslim Personal Law Board for representing the matter. There was an apprehension that objection would be raised for inclusion of a Muslim officer but it was accepted by the Govt. the present Wakf Bill will empower Wakf officials to dislodge illegal possessions.
He also supported the steps taken by Mr. Shaik Mohammed Iqbal, IPS, Special Officer of A.P. State Wakf Board who is keen to improve the income of Wakf Board. His action taken in respect of Madina Education Society cannot be termed as illegal.
