Senior Congress MLA Mr. M. Ram Reddy Damodar Reddy demanded the C.M. to dismiss Mr. T. Vasanth Kumar and Mr. S. Shailajanath for making derogatory remarks against Nizam and T-Bill. Mr. Reddy said that Mr. Vasanth Kumar and Shailajanath have taken oaths to abide by the constitution but they have declared the draft Telangana Bill as unconstitutional which is wrong. C.M. should dismiss them. If he doesn’t do it, the Governor should drop them from cabinet since they have disobeyed the constitution.
Mr. Reddy asked whether presenting T-bill in Assembly was a crime for which Sridhar Babu was shifted? He further asked that why were Congress and TDP MLAs kept quiet when they entered into an alliance with TRS in 2004 and 2009 elections. He also pointed out that Congress leadership included Telangana issue in minimum common program. At that time also these MLAs remained calm.
Earlier YSR Congress President Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy had declared that if State is bifurcated under Article 3 of constitution of India, his party will support the bill but later he deviated from his previous stand.
He told that Center has adopted a democratic process. It discussed various issues pertaining to Telangana right from village level to Center level. Had the Assembly passed a resolution after the declaration of the Statement of Mr. P. Chidambaram on 9th December 2009, the lives of 1000 students could have been saved. It is very objectionable that Seema Andhra leaders are wrongly interpreting the armed struggle of Telangana. The people of Seema Andhra had given shelter to the landlords who had escaped from this region as a result of the armed struggle of the people of Telangana against the landlord. Earlier, Mr. Raghuveera Reddy, Revenue Minister had clarified that Mr. Vasanth Kumar and Shailajanath had presented their own views not the policy of the party.
