Hyderabad, April 10: Action to be taken against rebel MPs, MLAs and MLCs loyal to Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSR Congress party and separate Telangana issues figured at the one-hour meeting APCC president D Srinivas had with Union minister and incharge of AP affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad in New Delhi on Monday morning.
Talking to newsmen later, Srinivas said he briefed the minister about issues pertaining to state politics, including Kadapa byelections.
As for action against the four rebel MLAs – Konda Surekha, G Srikanth Reddy, C Adinarayana Reddy and A Amarnath Reddy, the party high command and deputy speaker Nadendla Manohar would look into the show-cause notices served by the APCC and the disqualification petitions filed by the CLP respectively.
The four MLAs have already replied to the show-cause notices and a decision on action to be taken against them would be taken after going through the replies.
Srinivas submitted video and paper clippings relating to ‘anti-party activities’ of the rebel MLAs to Azad for necessary action.
It is learnt that Azad has enquired the PCC chief about the programmes and agitations by various political parties in the region particularly the TRS of K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Srinivas explained to the minister in detail about the activities planned by the TJAC, the Telangana TDP and other students’ JAC to intensify the movement.
The APCC president may stay for another two days in the national capital and he is likely to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee.
