Bhopal: BJP leader, Ms. Fatima Rasool Siddiqui slammed party’s decision of fielding Sadhavi Pragya for Bhopal Lok Sabha seat.
According to the report published in Indian Express, she said that this decision has impacted Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s image among minority community.
It may be mentioned that Fatima Rasool was the only Muslim BJP candidate for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Polls. She had contested for Bhopal (North) seat but lost to Arif Aqueel of Congress party.
Earlier, Ms. Fatima had said that she would campaign for Malegaon blast accused if she apologizes to the Muslims for her recent statements.
Ms. Fatima had said, “What Thakur has said was obnoxious and communal and her views can tarnish the image of the party. I will not campaign for someone who says a thing like waging a `dharm yudh’ (crusade). Her statement against former Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Chief, Mr. Hemant Karkare has hurt us badly.”
