Rajahmundry, June 10: A debt-ridden farmer allegedly committed suicide near here in East Godavari district, police said today. V Nageswara Rao (55), a resident of Tallapaka village, consumed pesticides in his house yesterday.
He had suffered heavy losses in last year”s kharif season and was in heavy debt, they said. Police have registered a case and investigating the matter.
