Death toll rises to 19 in Iraq’s triple bombings

Baghdad, October 12: The death toll of the bombings in the Iraqi city of Ramadi, 115 kilometers (70 miles) west of Baghdad, has risen to 19.

At least 60 others were injured on Sunday in the western Iraqi city of Ramadi, police and hospital officials said.

According to the police, the first explosion occurred in a car park, when a car exploded near the police headquarters at Anbar province and the provincial council building. Two bombs detonated within 10 minutes of each other outside the Ramadi police headquarters, killing at least eight police officers.

Within an hour, a third car bomb driven by a suicide attacker detonated outside a hospital in Ramadi, a predominately Sunni city in Anbar north of Baghdad. All entrances to Ramadi were closed on Sunday.
