Karachi: At least 14 people, including police personnel, have been killed and several injured in a blast near anti-polio centre in Quetta’s satellite town in Pakistan.
Two police vehicles were damaged in the explosion, The News International reports.
The blast occurred during an immunization campaign, according to Samaa TV.
Police and rescue officials said that the explosion of unknown nature took place close to a government-run polio centre in Quetta’s Satellite Town.
Initial reports said five people, including polio team members, were killed and several others injured.
Bodies and the injured were later shifted to civil hospital by rescue team, as security forces cordoned off the scene.
The blast came on third day of Balochistan-wide polio vaccination campaign. (ANI)
