Death over Ludo game: 11-year-old booked in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Mirchowk police have registered cases against 11-year-old boy, a day after his 14-year-old cousin Faizan was beaten to death in a scuffle during a Ludo game.

Faizan Bin Khalid collapsed in his house after his 11-year-old cousin punched him. He was rushed to Esra hospital where doctors said he went into a coma.

The fight between the boys took place on February 6, at their house in Panjesha area.

Inspector P Siva Bhaskar said that a week ago, victim and his cousin were playing Ludo on a mobile at their grandmother’s residence. He lost the game and was teased by his cousin.

“The duo entered into a scuffle and the victim was assaulted by his cousin. In the incident, he fell unconscious and went into coma. He was shifted to a private hospital where he died while undergoing treatment,” cop said. Based on the complaint, police have registered 304 (Part II) (Punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC.
