Washington D.C. [USA], Nov 25 (ANI): Ace magician and actor Ricky Jay passed away at the age of 72 on Saturday evening (local time).
“Jay died of natural causes. He was one of a kind. We will never see the likes of him again, “Jay’s manager, Winston Simone, told Variety.
Jay’s Deceptive Practices company partner Michael Weber also mourned the loss of his “remarkable friend.”
“I am sorry to share that my remarkable friend, teacher, collaborator and co-conspirator is gone,” Weber tweeted.
In addition to being a famous magician, Jay was a writer and an actor, best known for his roles in ‘Deadwood,’ ‘Boogie Nights,’ and ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’, and as the narrator in ‘Magnolia.’
He was also a consultant for films about magic like ‘The Illusionist’ and ‘The Prestige,’ in which he also made a brief appearance.
