The suicide case of Md Jaffer due to harassment of Police Kalapathar was heard in APSHRC by Justice Nisar Ahmed Kakru (Chairmen) and Kakumani Peri Pedda Reddy (Member Commission).Mr Pal raju (IPS) Deputy Commissioner of Police Detective Department and Nehru Babu (Inspector of Police Falaknuma) represented on behalf of Commissioner of Police,Hyderabad and a detail report along with Postmortem report and FSL report was submitted to APSHRC.The police asked for time for submitting the entire report of how the said Jaffer did suicide inspite of being in the Police Custody and the Police said that still the full fledged postmortem report and the treatment given in Osmania General Hospital is awaited.The Hon’ble Commission inquired about the ongoing investigation and the action taken against the policemen involved in dereliction of duty and for torchering the victim and specially asked the Police to not involve the accused Police officers in the said Inquiry and said “One cannot be his own Judge” on which the Police said that the inquiry of death has been entrusted to Asst. Commissioner of Police,Malakpet Division.The Hon’ble Commission asked the Police to submit the entire report along with all details and case diaries on or before March 10, 2014. (INN)
