Hyderabad, November 10: A palatial house in the Sikh Village, a luxurious villa in Miyapur, plots in prime locations, a jewellery inventory of 48 tolas of gold and other assets worth more than a whopping Rs six crore. The rich man in question, who owns these, is an assistant director of the Drug Control Administration (DCA).
Acting on specific information, sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the house of Lati Pramod Reddy, assistant director of DCA, Ranga Reddy district, in the Sikh Village and those of his family members here in the city on Monday.
‘‘The three-storeyed building in Sikh Village itself costs several lakhs. Every room in it is air-conditioned,’’ ACB officials said. Pramod Reddy also owns a villa in
Miyapur that is yet to be occupied.
’’Documentary value of the assets unearthed is worth more than Rs three crore but their market value is likely to be more than
double that amount’’ Director- General, ACB, K Aravinda Rao said in a release.
The total assets of the 53-year-old include four plots (two at Jeedimetla and one each at Maheswaram and Shamirpet in RR district), two houses (one at Bowenpally
and a villa at Miyapur), two luxurious cars, a Santro and a Honda City, 48 tolas of gold, four kilo silver and household articles worth more than Rs five lakh.
The house in which the assistant director is currently staying has all ultra-modern gadgets, officials said.
ACB officials said more amount and valuables would be added to Pramod Reddy’s list of assets once the four lockers and 12 bank accounts in his name and those of his wife and children were opened.
Pramod Reddy would be arrested and produced before a special court for ACB Cases in Hyderabad.
