After a prolong tension among gated communities about the Direct Benefit Transfer for Liquefied Petroleum Gas. Will they get subsidy?
LPG gas is supplied through pipelines, by storing gas in big tankers in gated communities. Wherein gas cylinders are procured in large numbers and a common gas bill is generated against only one of their representatives’ name.
Majority of the gated communities are worried with the decision of Govt to give subsidy in the form of cash directly to each consumer by depositing the same in the person’s bank account.
Now the eddy of worries gone, everyone will get subsidy for sure provided heir representative submits an affidavit to the gas company and registered his Aadhaar or bank account number with the agency. An affidavit from the other households will have to submitted, stating that the representative has been authorized to receive the cash transfer on their behalf.
It will be the representative’s responsibility to distribute the cash,” said Madhukar Ingole, state LPG coordinator for oil marketing companies and chief regional manager.
“PNG consumers are now allowed by the Govt. of India to keep one LPG connection in their household for which supply would be at non-subsidised rate. In view of the same, PNG consumers whose LPG connections have been blocked can get their LPG connections unblocked by opting for a cylinder supply at non-subsidised rate.”
