Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has been shifted from port city of Karachi to Murre in northern Pakistan about a fortnight ago, media reported.
According to a report published in India Today, Pakistani intelligence agency shifted Dawood at around 2.30 PM on Sunday in a Pakistani Army vehicle. Soon after, Pakistani authorities disconnected Dawood’s telephone numbers.
The report also claimed that the Pakistani Army and ISI shifted Dawood’s wife and younger daughter, younger brother, Anees and his family too.
“He was in Karachi about 15 days ago, but has since been shifted to the Pakistan-Afghanistan border region,” the official said.
Further, “There are at least five-six locations that we have identified, where he is shifted on a regular basis.”
“He is never kept at one location for more than a month,” the official added.
“Dawood is known to frequently change his locations and addresses in Pakistan. He has amassed immense property in Pakistan and moves under the protection of Pakistani agencies,” the dossier says.
Dawood is one of the India’s most-wanted men and the key accused in 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai in which 257 people were lost their lives and nearly a thousand injured.
