Former Delhi police commissioner Neeraj Kumar, who also served as CBI joint director, has revealed that Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim had married a Bollywood actress and has a son from the secret relationship. The officer alleged that Dawood’s son lives in Bengaluru.
The CBI deputy director disclosed the details in his book titled “Dial D for Don” which he had carried out in connection with the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. The book will be launched on Saturday.
In the upcoming book, Kumar reveals that Dawood’s son is reportedly being brought up by the film star’s sister.
The former cop also recounts three conversations with the underworld don, in which the latter pleaded his innocence in the Mumbai blasts and said that he met Dawood Taklya only to settle disputes between Tiger Memon and the criminal syndicate of Haji Ahmed, Salim Sarang and Aslam Patni, said reports.
Kumar further write in his book that one of the Dawood’s aide Ahmed Mansoor told us about Dawood’s lavish lifestyle in Dubai, his fondness for mujras (soirées musicales) and women, his keen interest in cricket and Bollywood”. Almost all Bollywood personalities called on him to pay their obeisance.
Ahmed Mansoor who was picked up from Delhi’s Jama Masjid area used to handle the gang’s hawala business, and knew Dawood from childhood.
Kumar writes, “Most disputes involving real estate, monetary matters, release dates of films by different Bollywood producers, etc, were decided in his ‘court’ in Dubai.
Kumar is a1976 batch retired IPS officer of Union Territories cadre, is currently serving as the chief adviser to BCCI’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU).
