Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan, determined to bring him to India: Rajnath Singh

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said that 26/11 Mumbai blasts mastermind Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan and that India is determined to bring him back.

“India has credible information of Dawood Ibrahim being in Pakistan,” he said while making a statement in Lok Sabha.

Rajnath added, “India will pursue and pressurise Pakistan in tracking Dawood and will leave no stone unturned to bring him back.”

He said that India has submitted all relevant documents on the underworld don to Pakistan, but it has failed to trace him.

Rajnath launched an attack on Pakistan and said that despite India submitting all relevant documents on the underworld don to Pakistan, but it has failed to trace him.

Home Minister’s statement comes after Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary, in a written reply in Lok Sabha on May 5, had said that the extradition of Dawood would be initiated once his location is known.

“The subject (Dawood) has not been located so far. Extradition process with regard to Dawood Ibrahim would be initiated once the subject is located,” he had said.

The statement from the Chaudhary stirred controversy with Opposition targeting the government.
