David Foster declines to participate in Trump’s inauguration

Los Angeles: Music producer David Foster says he has no intentions of participating in President-elect Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration.

Their were reports doing the rounds that Foster,67, would be playing an active role in organizing the January 20 inauguration.

“Woke up this morning to a lot of news. For the record, I was asked to participate in the upcoming inauguration some time ago and I politely and respectfully declined. Any news outlet that is reporting otherwise is misinformed,” Foster wrote on Instagram.

While Foster may not be involved, his longtime collaborator Andrea Bocelli has been tapped to participate.

The Italian tenor will perform alongside America’s Got Talent star Jackie Evancho on Inauguration Day.

Bocelli, 58, will sing at least one song with the 16-year-old star. It is unclear whether he will perform a solo.
