Dattatreyya demands extension of MMTS trains

Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreyya on Monday urged the Centre to extend the MMTS services up to Shamshabad by sanctioning Rs 200 crore for the second phase of the project.

Speaking to media persons after calling on Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu here, Dattatreyya said he had made a representation seeking clearance of pending projects of Telangana State. He also advised Railways to set up a land bank and extend housing facility to the employees on the unused railway lines. He also urged that the Centre take immediate steps for establishment of Railway Factory at Qazipet. He also requested the Railways Minister to fill up the vacant posts in the railways. (INN)
