Hyderabad: Former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatraya today urged the State government to release Rythu Bandhu amount to help the farmers and purchase complete paddy produce from them in the State.
The former MP led a BJP team to Secretariat and met with Chief Secretary S K Joshi. Dattatraya discussed briefly on the issues related to the farmers and Rythu Bandhu scheme and farm produce purchase during Rabi season. He appealed to the Chief Secretary to initiate steps to purchase total produce from the farmers and waive their loans in one go. Dattatraya also appealed to the Chief Secretary to see that the money under the Rythu Bandhu scheme should be released immediately to help the farmers. The State government should also take steps for providing drinking water during Summer season.
