Dattatreya condemns Rahul Gandhi’s yatra

Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya has strongly condemned the padayatra of AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi in Nirmal and said it was not aimed at helping farmers, but intended towards saving the Congress party.

Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Dattatreya asked the Congress leaders to furnish details of farmers who committed suicide during their 10-year rule. He said that he Congress party completely ignored the farmers and agriculture sector while in power. However, they are now speaking about farmers after losing power. He said that the wrong policies adopted by the Congress party were responsible for the farmers’ suicide.

Earlier, Dattatreya inspected the facilities at the ESI Hospital at Sanathnagar. He informed that treatment has been provided to 7.50 crore people through ESI Corporation. He also alleged that the State Government was reluctant to run a medical college at Sanathnagar. However, he said a decision in this regard would be taken soon. (INN)
