Hyderabad: Former Union minister and BJP MP Bandaru Dattattraya today observed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao encouraging defections was undemocratic step. He also accused the TRS supremo of luring the elected members to his party amounts to insulting the people’s verdict.
Speaking to the media at party headquarters at Nampally, Dattatraya criticized the functioning of Legislative Council chairman K Swami Goud. The BJP senior leader opined that the person who was holding a Constitutional post should work impartially. But it was unfortunate that Swami Goud seems to be working under political pressure, he lamented.
Stating that the Narendra Modi government was extending huge financial assistance to the Telangana government in all aspects, Dattatraya pointed out that the Centre has sanctioned BB Nagar AIIMS. He suggested to the ruling party leaders not to indulge in leveling baseless allegations against the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.
