Dattatraya slams Telugu CMs for corrupt rule, says no Opposition leader can match Modi

Hyderabad: Asserting that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre was relentlessly striving for building Nava Bharat (New India) and Yuva Bharat (Young India), former Union minister and MP Bandaru Dattatreya today said the government’s income has risen considerably due to the reforms introduced by the Prime Minister. Not only the Modi regime achieved monumental progress, but also provided handsome funds to the Telugu States through the GST. While this is so, the chief ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh K Chandrashekhar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu respectively trying to mislead the people on the Central assistance to them.

Addressing mediapersons at State party headquarters here, Dattatreya said while Prime Minister Modi was giving honest and transparent government, the TRS government in the State was indulging in corrupt practices. He also made it clear that the BJP would go it alone in Telangana during the ensuing general elections and would contest in all the 17 Lok Sabha seats.

Stating that his party was making efforts to cross 400 Lok Sabha seats this time, Dattatraya said in the December Assembly polls in Telangana, the BJP managed to win only one out of 120 seats it contested. Dattatreya alleged that the Opposition leaders are involved in one scam or the other and they are “criticizing” Modi only to garner votes of the Minorities. He also said Congress president Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu or Telangana Chief Minister and TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao are no match to Narendra Modi in introducing welfare schemes, he said.

Dattatraya also said some 40 crore people have benefited from various welfare schemes launched by the Modi government, including around 16 crore who had benefited from the MUDRA Yojana alone. He said Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will take part in the BJP’s cluster meeting of Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Malkajgiri parliamentary seats on February 5 and BJP national president Amit Shah may visit the Telangana State on February 13 to review the party’s poll preparedness. He also said the Prime Minister and several Union ministers are also likely to visit Telangana in the coming days, he said. Dattatreya also slammed the TRS government for not implementing Central schemes, including the PMJAY health insurance scheme.

The Telangana government will get Rs 3,000 crore towards the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’, under which Rs 6,000 will be transferred into bank accounts of farmers holding up to two hectares land, he said, adding that the TRS government implement the Centre’s scheme and its ‘Rythu Bandhu’ scheme separately.
