Senior BJP leader and former Union minister Bandaru Dattatraya today bemoaned there was no security to women in the capital city.
After consoling the family members of Sandhya Rani, who died after a youth set her afire at Lalaguda on Thursday, Dattatraya demanded stern action against culprit Kartik, who set the hapless girl ablaze. Condemning the gory act of the love manic, Dattatraya urged the State government to announce an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh and sanction a double bed room house to the poor family members.
Dattatraya also demanded that the government order an inquiry into the allegations by victim’s family that there was no proper treatment in the Gandhi General Hospital. The government should take measures to provide 24-hour emergency service in the Osmania, Gandhi and Chest hospitals, he said.
