In a statement here, Dattatraya stated, I strongly condemn the attempted terror attack on Pathankot Air Force Base early this morning. It’s the act of cowards and they have miserably failed in their devious intention to disturb peace in India. I salute the Indian Armed Forces, who have acted decisively and with full preparedness to thwart the terrorist attempt to attack the forward base of the Indian Air Force. The forces have killed the terrorists. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the martyred Indian commandos in the action”.

Dattatraya stated that Narendra Modi Government is committed in safeguarding the unity and integrity of the country. The government was acting tough on terrorism and taking stock of the situation on ground and has kept all the key defence and civil installations on high alert. The State governments were also alerted in this regard, he stated, adding acts of terrorism needs to be condemned by one and all, irrespective of their political affiliations and should not be viewed from the political angle.
