Dattatraya asks CM to convene all-party meet to discuss ZPTC, MPTC polls

Hyderabad: BJP senior leader and former Union minister Bandaru Dattatraya today demanded that the State government clear dues under Rythu Bandu scheme to farmers. He also asked the government to open grain purchase centers, otherwise farmers will sell the same to other mediators at lesser price.

Speaking to mediapersosn here on Monday, Dattatraya appealed to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao to convene an all-parties meeting on ZPTC and MPTC local body elections immediately. Reminding that there were three BCs in the KCR cabinet, he appealed to the CM to break his silence and pressurize the Centre for 34% BC share if he was committed on BC welfare. He called upon the BC community people to teach a lesson to KCR on the issue.

Ridiculing KTR’s comment that the BJP wouldn’t win even one seat in Telangana State, Dattatraya advised KTR to remain silent till May 23 when the results will be out. Dattatraya alleged that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was speaking ill of Prime Minster Narendra Modi out of frustration due to fear of electoral defeat. He also said people have immense faith in the EC like political leaders in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and other States did not have any doubts about functioning of the EVMs.

The former Union minister predicted that the BJP was going to win some 300 seats across the country.
