Fog affects 60 flights at Delhi’s IGI airport
Dense fog badly hit operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Monday, disrupting schedule of around 60 flights.
Fog started to descend over the airport last night but it became dense around 7 AM, forcing the authorities to implement low visibility procedures.
Around 16 flights were cancelled and 28 others delayed either due to operational reasons or poor weather, an airport official said, adding that some more flights were delayed during the day.
No flights, however, were diverted.
