DataWind receives Amity Leadership award for excellence in business

New Delhi : DataWind Innovations, a leader in the delivery of Internet access in emerging markets, has been awarded with the Amity Leadership award for business excellence by leveraging IT in Designing Innovative Mobile for Educationin here today.

The award recognizes DataWind’s revolutionary and innovative approach to bridge the digital divide for the forgotten billions with its launch of free internet access on low-cost smartphones and tablets.

The award was presented by Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Amity School of Engineering and Technology during the 6th International Conference on “Cloud System and Big Data Engineering” Confluence-2016.

DataWind’s products break the affordability barrier and deliver internet access across traditional mobile networks as the company executes a vision to empower the next three billion internet users.

The company has put in a lot of effort to ensure that it bring to the user an app set that aids their learning process. Recently it launched UbiClass software that provides comprehensive support for flipped classroom learning. The app is powered by DataWind’s patented, cloud-based technology that reduces by up to 97 percent the amount of data needed for web browsing.
