Job Description:
a) Lead the privacy awareness and privacy compliance program for the Hyderabad Site working under the direc-tion of the Head of Legal, NBS b) Participate at an introductory web-based training and in the functional meetings and calls organised at Re-gional or Global level. c) Monitor compliance with data protection legislation and internal policies and regulations; d) Implement privacy related local policies, Binding Corporate Rules, Company Level Controls and procedures; e) Ensure local policies and activities that involve personal data are compliant with Novartis policies and appli-cable laws and regulations, f) Conduct appropriate trainings and increase awareness for data privacy; Track, document and follow up on completion rates in coordination with the local Compliance officer; g) Conduct privacy assessments and establish a remediation plan if needed; h) Determine if a Privacy Impact Assessment is required at local level; review PIA and establish remediation plans, where required: i) Support review of local site requirements for Global NBS and other site functions projects and initiatives; j) Maintain an up-to-date inventory of data files containing personal data and ensure access by Data Protection Authority and data subjects as required by law; k) Ensure appropriate information and notification to the data subjects and Data Protection Authorities; l) Oversee privacy advice for cross-border projects, finalize applicable data processing or transfer agreements for the Site and maintain a list of agreements with third parties involving the processing or transfer of person-al data (; m) Assist the business in ensuring compliance with data transfer requirements / otherwise minimize risk of inter-ruptions to data transfers; n) Address privacy compliance issues; o) Address data subject requests/complaints/ policies for the Site ; p) Ensure proper handling of inspections, audits and data privacy incidents according to local laws and internal policies, SOPs and procedures; q) Establish and conduct annual training and awareness plan; Keep records of trainings r) Share experiences with other local Data Privacy Officers and coordinate activities.

Minimum requirements :
Law degree/ Chartered Accountancy/ Master in Business Administration or solid experience working with privacy regulations or related legal issues. English 8 to 10 years experience. Strong knowledge of the local business and organization, as well as understand-ing of the local privacy and data protection laws and internal policies and proce-dures. Results oriented, team player, and able to work well with all levels of the organization. Solid communication, presentation, and writing skills. Able to iden-tify issues and to develop business-friendly solutions in line with the overall pri-vacy program. Business or market experience, good technical / IT skills and a le-gal or compliance background, are desirable.
