Role
Reporting to the Head of Data Operations (in US) and JPMIS Lead for India (- for the Intelligent Solutions Group, the Data Operations Team Manager is responsible for providing thought leadership that supports the growth strategy of JPMIS by expanding key JPMC data assets leveraging both internal firm resources as well as external data. The ideal candidate for this position is results-driven with a passion for transforming large disparate data sets into actionable information. This person will be an integral part of building a best-in-class data management and governance framework leveraging Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong data mining and analytical skills, along with exceptional leadership and client and relationship management skills. S/ he must have proven successes in balancing long term strategic vision with the ability to create, practical, actionable plans that are coherent and understood by all stakeholders. Beyond excellent strategy and analytical skills, the ideal candidate will be an innovator that is willing to push the limits of current Big Data management and governance paradigms.

Responsibilities
Key participant in creating and implementing a data management/ governance framework for JPMIS
Develop and plan required data sourcing and transformation projects in response to business needs
Effectively partner with the Data Insights team to drive usage and improvement of the IntelliStor data asset that drives analytics within JPMIS and for our strategic partners
Schedule, organize and manage new information & data management activities for JPMIS
Innovate new ways of managing, transforming and validating data
Create and enforce guidelines to ensure consistency, quality and completeness of all JPMIS data assets
Apply quality assurance best practices to all work products Qualifications
BE/ Btech with over 14 years of Technology experience
Technology Leadership Attributes
Financial Services background or with experience in one or more line of businesses (Consumer, Commercial, Asset management, Investment Banking)
Proven proficiency with data and quantitative research techniques
Technical skills as demonstrated by analytical experience
Deep experience across the full range of database and business intelligence tools; publishing and presenting information in an engaging way
Intensive, recent experience in assessing and sourcing data needs

Experience in data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate
Experience utilizing and extending ETL solutions (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, Ab Initio) in a complex, high-volume data environment
Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, GreenPlum) is preferred
Knowledge of statistics, at least to the degree necessary in order to communicate easily with statisticians is a plus
Knowledge of Java (Core, Servlets, JDBC) and Python development is preferred
Experience with machine learning is preferred
Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields desired
