Data Breach by BJP, Congress decides to pull down its App from Play Store

New Delhi: Ruling Party’s move to divert the users’ attention from the data breach of using NaMo App, the ruling party took a straight jab at Congress accusing the party of sharing user data with a Singapore based company led Congress to reportedly pull down its own app from Google store as well as party’s membership website.

Speculations are arising on the sudden development of Congress party deleting its party’s application on Google Play store after Party Chief accused PM Modi’s app-NaMo of sharing its user data urging the citizens to delete the App.

While the Congress app is no longer available on Google Play store, the party’s membership website greets the users with: “We are incorporating minor changes to the website. Please visit us again in a while to access the INC Membership process.”

Amit Malviya, In-charge of BJP’s national Information and Technology, took to Twitter to react to Congress pulling down its app from Play store.

He tweeted: Rahul Gandhi gave a call to #DeleteNaMoApp, but Congress deleted its own App from the App store after they were called out. What is the Congress party hiding?

Malviya further added, “All of you who complained about the surge in anti-BJP and anti-government messages and fake news in recent days on social media, now know who was behind it – an insidious Cambridge Analytica hired by a desperate Congress!”

When Congress alerted data breach of citizens through the NaMo app, BJP IT head had raised “privacy and consent conflicts” in the Congress party’s own App, which if given a thought to, most of the Applications on google Play store make it mandatory for users to give their consent in order to use the application.

Congress has been targeting the ruling party for data breach ever since the whole world was shaken up with the Cambridge Analytica scandal which shared user data of FB accounts without their consent.

Congress Chief Rahul continued his attack on BJP urging the users to delete the NaMo app.

He tweeted Modi’s Namo app secretly records your audio, video, contacts of your friends & family as well as tracks your location via GPS.

He’s the Big Boss who likes to spy on Indians.

Now he wants data on our children. 13 lakh NCC cadets are being forced to download the APP.#DeleteNaMoApp

What the party contends is first it was Aadhar that took citizens data and was made digital and now this NaMo app promoted by the ruling party build’s personal database with intel on millions of Indians.

He further says that If Mr. Modi as a PM wants to communicate with Indian citizens using technology he should as well use the official PMO APP for it. This data belongs to India, not Modi, DC reports.
