Veteran film director and former Union Minister Dasari Narayana Rao has been admitted to the KIMS hospital in Secunderabad on Tuesday for treatment to lung infection.
According to hospital sources, Dasari was responding to the treatment in the Intensive Care Unit. He was put on dialysis. In a bulletin on Dasari’s health condition, the hospital said he was being supported by ventilator for breathing and a surgery was done to control infection in his esophagus. Stating that infection had damaged his kidneys and liver, the doctors said they would cure the infection one after another. He will be in the hospital for another two days, the doctors added.
Dasari’s close associates in the industry, including Mohan Babu, Jayasudha, Allu Arvind and others visited the ailing director at hospital. (NSS)
