In a glittering ceremony, Darshana TV’s Kuwait Bureau was inaugurated by its Chairman Honorable Panakkad Sayid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal on 5th December 2014 at Rajadhani Palace Hotel. More than 100 invited guests were present while pressing the launching release button. ShihabThangal in his inaugural address said that Darshana TV ’s vision is to enrich people’s lives with informative, educative and entertainment programs and lead through the moral path., in addition to, this channel has benchmarked its quality standing, and to be the most effective, creative and value based TV Channel in the State of Kerala. He stressed the channel’s value in which honest reporting rather than manipulated reporting in the media. Thangal added that 2015 onwards the channel will be adding as a “News Channel” role in addition to present family and other entertainments programs.
Sayid Nasir Al-Mashoor, The Board Member of Darshana TV from Kuwait, presided the event, and said that at a time when religion, politics and caste creed diversities are being exploited by vested interests to divide the society, and human love, Darshana TV stands as a beacon of light to remove the darkness and unite the human kind with love, religious amity and peace..
Salam Valancheri, News Editor of Darshana TV introduced the channel’s present status while saying that it has invested heavily in modern software, technical and broadcasting instruments with its ability to broadcast 24 hours programs, both indoor and outdoor. Sheriff Hudawi, a religious scholar and Manager of Human Resources explained future plan and said that, Darshana TV is trying to expand its relationships with the global medias.
Dr. Ghalib Al-Mashoor, Former Censor of Kuwait Ministry of Information and a freelance journalist who writes in Malayalam and English was declared as the Chief of Darshana TV’s Kuwait Bureau.
Dr. Ghalib in his welcome speech said that the Chairman Sadiq Ali Thangal is a visionary person, who has provided enlightening leadership to the Launch of Darshana TV with his profound knowledge of contemporary media trends and its need of time for a family oriented channel.
Sulaiman Al-Otaibi, a Kuwaiti Businessman, who has consented to be the sponsor for Darshana TV along with Senior Kuwaiti Citizen and Businessman Waleed Al-Alban, also graced the event. Many Leaders of various Indian Associations in Kuwait , Businessmen, Media personals were attended the event.
Aziz Thikkodi, a free lance journalist who expressed vote thanks was also the “compere” of the event.
