New Delhi, December 27: The fifth One-dayer between India and Sri Lanka has been suspended after the players objected at the uneven nature of the Feroz Shah Kotla track here today.
Sri Lanka were 83 for five in 23.4 overs with Thilina Kandamby (12) and Muthumudalige Pushpakumara (7) at the crease when the match was stopped.
Players and match officials came down to the ground to hold discussions on whether the pitch was fit to carry on.
Opener Tillakaratne Dilshan was struck on the forearm, when a ball took off ferociously from the track raising alarms on the nature of the wicket.
The match officials have offered a few choices to both the captains to see if the restless crowd could be entertained.
