Mumbai: National award-winning actress Zaira Wasim described her shocking experience of molestation while she was on board a Delhi-Mumbai Vistara flight.
Zaira in an Instagram story alleged that a man sitting behind in the flight had molested her.
In two videos that she took inside the flight as well as after landing in Mumbai, she narrated how the middle-aged man made her journey a harrowing story.
“It was all chill till I felt somebody brushing against my back while I was half asleep… Guess he couldn’t sit like a civilized (sic) human being and placed his feet on my armrest while he’s fully PHELOAOED (spread) his body on his seat,” Zaira posted on Instagram.
When she woke up, she found his foot “rubbing [against her] back and neck,” Zaira said.
Zaira said she wanted to record the entire video but the lighting in the flight cabin was too dim. “Slow claps for Vistara’s crew guys! Wonderful!” the Dangal girl added.
“Who is going to help us Girls? If we don’t help ourselves, nobody will come ahead” Zaira ended her video with teary eyes.
Air Vistara said on Twitter that it had “zero tolerance” for such incidents and that it will support Zaira in “every way” required.
