Danam won’t quit Congress: Bhatti

TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarkha here on Sunday strongly felt that Greater Hyderabad Congress president Danam Nagendar would not leave the party under any circumstances.

The TPCC working president convened a meeting with party activists in Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday to chalk out a strategy to be adopted for party victory in the ensuing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections.

Speaking on the occasion, Mallu said Danam Nagendar, who had enjoyed big posts including a minister’s post would not leave the party. The present rumours about his switching loyalties to the ruling TRS party were cooked up by the media only and there was no iota of doubt about Nagendar quitting the party for greener pastures, Mallu said, adding that Nagendar himself had categorically denied rumours of his joining the TRS several times.

The TPCC working president also advised Chief Minister and TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao to give respect to the country’s Constitution on the occasion of Dr Ambedkar’s death anniversary and refrain from luring leaders from other political parties for temporary gains. He also faulted the TRS president for fielding a candidates in the MLC election in a district where there are not even 10 voters.

Bhatti Vikramarkha also warned that his party would launch an agitation with like-minded parties against KCR’s unholy politics. (NSS)
