Labour Minister Danam Nagender on Saturday assured that the State Government would take steps to reduce the burdening from the common man and farmers due to the hike in the power tariff.
Talking to media persons after inaugurating a website of ITIs in West Godavari district at Secretariat, Danam Nagender said that he had discussed the power tariff hike issue with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and briefed him on how it would burden the domestic users and farmers. He said that the Chief Minister has assured him of taking steps to ensure that the farmers and common man were not burdened.
Regarding Telangana issue, Nagender said that Union Home Minister P Chidambaram’s comments prove that the Centre was ready to take a favourable decision on Telangana State if all political parties makes their stand clear on it. He appealed to the youth, particularly students, not to resort to extreme steps to achieve Telangana State as the suicides might complicate the issue further. (INN)
