Dalmia launches premium cement brand

MADURAI: Dalmia Cement Bharat, country’s third-largest cement group, today launched a premium brand, Dalmia DSP Cement.

Senior Executive Director and group head B K Singh told that the new cement, to be first made available in Tamil Nadu, was developed by Dalmia’s research team.

The company would offer free service to builders, including soil testing, water test and supervisory advice, he said.

Singh claimed this special cement would make concrete buildings more durable. It would be packed in such a way that the cement could be stored for a longer time even during the rainy season and moisture would not have any impact.

K Swami Nathan, Executive Director, said Dalmia was among the top five companies in the industry in India.

The launch of the premium variety of cement would give the company an opportunity to maximise customer’s preference and liking, he said, adding it would be introduced in other states in the south in a phased manner.
