Dalitha Samkshema Sangham has demanded that the State government immediately suspend Moinabad Circle Police Inspector Shekhar Goud, who was actively involving in civil matters even as the Supreme Court had directed the police officials not to involve in civil disputes.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Sangham president B. Amarbabu said that one Ram Reddy of Amdapur hamlet of Khashibelly village under Moinabad mandal of Ranga Reddy district had alienated 1.24 acres of land at Amdapur to his brother-in-law Prabhakar Reddy for Rs 12 lakhs in 2008. He said that Prabhakar Reddy had paid only Rs 8.90 lakh so far and was trying to occupy another one acre though he did not pay the remaining amount.
Ram Reddy’s wife Srilatha said that she had lodged a complaint with the police on August 30 against Prabhakar Reddy for threatening to kill her husband for demanding to pay remaining amount of Rs 3.10 lakh. She has alleged that Moinabad CI Shekhar Goud was also threatening them to withdraw the complaint against Prabhakar Reddy.
She lamented that though they have submitted a memorandum to Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, the police officials did not bother to take action against Moinabad CI Shekhar Goud and Prabhakar Reddy. She urged the Cyberabad Police Commissioner to initiate action against the CI and Prabhakar Reddy.
Social worker M. Janga Reddy and Dalit leader B.L. Sathish Mahajan were also present. (NSS)
