Dalai Lama addresses devotees at Paljor stadium

Gangtok, December 21: Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, who is on a two-day visit to Sikkim, addressed a huge gathering of devotees at the Paljor stadium here on the first day today.

Chief Minister Pawan K Chamling, his cabinet members and Speaker K T Gyaltsen were present at the two hour-long discourse.

Later, he visited Gangtok Flower festival where Tourism Minister Bhim Dhungel escorted him on a round of White Hall complex.

The spiritual leader also attended a lunch hosted by Chamling at his official residence.

The Dalai Lama then visited Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and its museum here. He also offered prayers at the Chorten Monastery.
