New Delhi: Daikin Air-conditioning India Pvt. Ltd. has renewed its sponsorship deal with Delhi Daredevils for the second year in a row for the Indian Premier league (IPL), slated to be held from April 9, it was announced on Monday.
Kanwaljeet Jawa, Managing Director, Daikin India said in a statement: “Cricket is a religion in India and the IPL is one of the most watched leagues in the world. Our partnership with Delhi Daredevils (DD), which is one of the most promising teams, is part of Daikin’s continued efforts to build a sporting culture amongst the youth.
“We are extremely delighted to sponsor DD for the second year in a row and I am confident that this partnership will continue to help us connect with our current and prospective customers across India.”
Acknowledging Daikin’s sponsorship deal with the team, Daredevils CEO Hemant Dua said: “I would like to thank Daikin for reposing its faith in the team and coming on board as sponsors for the second year in a row. I am confident that this association will continue to benefit both the parties and will also contribute in the betterment of sports in the country.”
