Dahanu: Around 135 km from Mumbai, near Parnaka beach, a boat carrying 40 children was capsized. This incident occurred off the coast of Dahanu near Parnaka beach.

The Coast guard immediately went into rescue operations and around 35 students have been rescued. The search for remaining missing students is ongoing.

According to the information given by the District collector Prashant Narnaware to the PTI, the boat was capsized today in morning off the Dahanu coast.

The students who were in the boat are from KL Ponda high school in Dahanu which is in Maharashtra’s Palghar District. This is 110 km far from Mumbai.
The boat was capsized due to overcrowding and the boat tilted on one side while the children were having fun.
