Dadri lynching case: BJP pulls up Akhilesh Govt

Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday blamed the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party Government for the Dadri lynching case.

“The Dadri incident is unfortunate and it cannot be supported. The Samajwadi Party of Uttar Pradesh government is responsible for this. This fight is between one who keep pets and one who kills pets, in which both the communities are included,” BJP leader Laxmikant Bajpai told ANI here.

Last Monday, following the spread of a rumour that 50-year-old Mohammad Akhlaq and his family had consumed beef, a mob barged into their home and lynched Akhlaq to death. His 22-year-old son Danish was critically injured in the incident.

The family of Akhlakh will be meeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow today.
