Dadri, Oct. 8 : Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate N.P. Singh today said that the Dadri lynching incident is being investigated in a transparent and unbiased manner.
“The village is at peace. If people stop visiting the village, it will stop getting talked about,” Singh said.
“The police and the administration are undertaking investigation in a transparent and unbiased manner. People are satisfied. But if people keep coming, the issue keeps getting discussed,” he added.
He also pointed out that the administration is holding meetings with the locals so that the responsible citizens can take steps if anyone tries to spread rumors.
“We are trying to increase the good spirits to bring about peace,” he said.
A 50-year-old Akhlaq was lynched by a mob for allegedly storing beef at his residence in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. (ANI)
