Hyderabad, January 31: State cabinet has decided to enhance Dearness Allowance of State Govt. employees to the extent of 5.99% with effect from 1st July 2011. After the hike, D.A. will be 35.95% which will cost Govt. exchequer to the extent of Rs. 6015 crore per annum.
Farmers will also get Re one lakh interest free loan which will benefit 95 lakh farmers costing a financial burden of Rs. 1500 crore to the Govt. exchequer.
The amount of enhanced D.A. from July to October will be deposited in the P.F. accounts of the employees and the arrears of three months (November to January 2012) will be paid in cash.
Cabinet also decided to constitute innovative council for three years. It will include experts from Industry, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Education, Pharmacy and Social Work. An IAS officer will be posted as its member Secretary. Ms. D.K. Aruna Information Minister while briefing the newsmen said that the vacancies of the doctors who go on leave for pursuing P.G. courses will also be filled up soon.
